UNDERSTANDING THE SELLING PROCESS

No two real estate transactions are ever the same. Mary has a condo; Bill has a duplex; Tom has a hobby farm ..... each one of these properties has its own unique set of issues to be considered in order to complete the real estate sale.

Once you've come to the decision to sell your property, you must decide if you want to try to sell it yourself, or work with a real estate agent. You then have the task of selecting the person that will best suit your style to help you sell. For some sellers this decision will be based on the commission that the salesperson charges. For others it will be the personality fit (and for the sake of half a percent or one percent, the personality fit and or experience level of the agent may well be worth paying in order to get someone that you connect with, and that you feel is going to work best for you).

The real estate sales person that you select should also be knowledgeable about your property type, whether its a condo, a duplex or a hobby farm!

The following link will take you to a separate webpage that outlines the selling process in very good detail. Although based on the U.S. process, I found that the majority of the text is well in line with how the process also works here in Ontario. Click here to view the selling process.
