Harrowsmith Country Life Magazine, one of Canada's leading lifestyle magazines, selected The Ottawa Valley in the top ten of its ideal rural locations to live. The April 2004 edition featured its annual tribute to "ten of the prettiest places you might want to call home". The magazine based its rankings on cost of living, greenspace, quality of life, and historical traditions.
The Ottawa Valley was also featured in the 2005 September/October issue of Canadian Geographic. This issue was so popular that you can't even backorder it anymore!
